About Me

My name is Carl Jones and I am a full time pet portrait artist living in the beautiful village of Eckington on the edge of The Cotswolds in the UK.

I have been painting pets professionally for nearly ten years and was fortunate enough to have a celebrity as my first ever commission, none other than ‘Dodger’ who is the dog in the ITV drama Doc Martin.

I will paint any animal, but I do have a special affinity for dogs as I have had one in my life since birth.

I currently share my studio with a cheeky Cockapoo called Stanley. I often get asked why I sign my work with a pawprint, the answer is simple… when I first started out, my Golden Retriever Baz, (who has now sadly crossed the rainbow bridge) was always at my side, so although he’s no longer with me, his memory lives on in every painting and my logo is his actual paw print.

I hope you enjoy looking through my work as much as I did creating it.

As well as taking commissions, I also have original artworks for sale, so be sure to have a browse through the gallery and grab yourself a Jonesy original.
